Throwback Thursday … Playground Love

Well, it is the 15th anniversary of the release of the Virgin Suicide OST. Air’s music is so psychologically emotional that it is totally tailor made for OST, especially the OST for independent or artistic movies.

The Virgin Suicide, Sofia Coppola’s directorial debut, is slightly mysteriously dark, so is Air’s music. The OST is a mixture of death and confusion. You can imagine that it is about a complicated life of a rebelled teenage girl. Bounded by a boring life, transformed to a maze of lust, drug, curiosity, etc, the confusion of a teenage girl is comprehensively expressed in the OST.

I am always a big fans of AIR. Their music is always 10 years ahead of the current music industry. It is so spiritual, dark and emotionally attached, which is the current music industry lacks of.

Well, I just can’t believe that I am still fond of this OST now. Old is Gold!
